Luv 2 Read

This blog includes book reviews and recommendations for teen readers

Hi, everyone!  So, at school, we read a book called "The Outsiders". At first, I was tentative about it, but I have to admit it was a really good book. Here's what it's about: No one ever said life was easy. But Ponyboy is pretty sure that he's got things figured out. He knows that he can count on his brothers, Darry and Sodapop. And he knows that he can count on his friends—true friends who would do anything for him, like Johnny and Two-Bit. And when it comes to the 'Socs'— the rich kids who always pick on 'greasers' like him and his friends—he knows that he can count on them for trouble. But one night someone takes things too far, and Ponyboy's world is turned upside down.. . I ended up loving this book, and I give it five stars. I recommend this book to everyone of all ages. I hope you decide to read it and love it, too.   ...
Hi everyone! I just finished reading "Hidden Gem" by: India Lee. I thought it was very interesting. Here's the description: Meet Queen Bee, the teen pop sensation. She is well known almost everywhere. Then there's Gemma Hunter, a sweet and shy teenage girl. The thing is Queen Bee is Gemma Hunter is in disguise. No one knows who Queen Bee really is. Except for family, of course. Then, "Queen Bee's" European tour ends and she moves to the USA where no one knows anything about Queen Bee. And she even goes to high school, trying to find a normal life. Luckily, Gemma is taken under the wing of the fiery and popular Madison, who leads her into the high school life of popularity. Her world as Gemma quickly becomes everything she ever wanted in a normal life - that is until international teen boy pop sensation, Tyler Chase, announces his celebrity crush on Queen Bee. Suddenly, Gemma's alter ego becomes a household name as the handsome singer’s loyal “Tyl...
"The Princess Academy" by Shannon Hale is a good book for ages 9-14. It has a little romance in it. It's a fiction book. I think it was good. Here's the description: Miri is a fourteen year old who lives on a mountain in a small village. One day the king's men come to get all the girls young enough to marry the prince. They are going to go to a castle-like place, to start learning to be "laidies". They call it the Princess Academy. Miri does NOT want to go, but she has to, king's orders. Ugh! So, when Miri leaves her loving father and sister, she's not as happy as the other girls. She makes friends and enemies. What happens? Are they safe? But more importantly: Who will be chosen to marry the prince? Find out by reading the book! This book is recommended to girls ages 9-14. I read it at 12. Hope you like the book! ...

Love? Maybe is about a teenaged girl named Piper. She has a problem: Her birthday is on Valentine's day. While most girls would be jumping up and down with excitement for a birthday on V-day, she deeply dreads it. She thinks V-day is just giving people a chance to shove the fact your single right in your face. Knowing that, her two best friends try to get her to go out with Ben Donovan, the school's most popular boy. Ben likes her a lot, but she's confused about her feelings for him. Thing is, it's not just love that troubles her, her guy friend that she's known her whole life is acting weird. What's going on with him? What happens to Piper and Ben?  I give this book three stars. It was a quick, fast-paced read. It's great for reading on vacation because it goes along at a good pace and your head won't get too confused with what's going on in the story.  ...
Hi everyone. Today's book review is for the book "Now and Forever" by: Jenny Han. "Now and Forever" is a romance novel. It's not just about a boy and a girl falling for love, though. It is more like this: Sterling is madly in love with Ethan, her boyfriend. Not only is Ethan the nicest person she's ever met, he's a VERY talented guitarist, singer, and songwriter. But when he becomes one of the most famous musicians in the world, what will happen to them? Will he have enough time for her? Then she meets Damon. A boy who does have time for her. But she still loves Ethan. What will happen with Sterling's love life? Will it all fix up for her and Ethan, or will she let Damon into her life? This book was great in my opinion. I suggest this book to 14-16 year old girls. I hope you guys enjoy this book as much as I did. ...
