Avalon High is about a teenage girl named Ellie. Ellie's parents are professors that decided to move during their sabbaticals, to Ellie's dismay. When they first get there, she sticks to herself, that is, until she runs into Will... literally. Will's Avalon High's star quarterback. To her surprise, he's not the typical jock; cocky or rude. In fact, he's quite polite. When she starts school, she gets assigned a project on King Arthur and everything starts to spiral. Why does she feel so attached to Will? Why does everything, in reality, seem to fit with the story of King Arther? And most importantly, who's trying to sabotage the reincarnation of King Arthur and his court?
I give this book four stars. It was a quick read and has great twists and turns as it goes on. My favorite character was Will because even though he's the popular quarterback, he didn't use it against people and actually fights for the underdogs. I may be a little biased seeing as I love retellings, but I still recommend you give this book a try!
